Are Boosted Boards Waterproof? Maintaining the boars safe

Boosted Boards are an entertaining mode of transportation, but they can be extremely dangerous if you’re not careful. Check to make sure it’s waterproof. Before you take your boosted board out for a spin in the rain or snow. 

Boosted boards are known for their incredible speed and efficient travel capabilities. They also come with some pretty hefty price tags. Skateboarders everywhere want to get their hands on one of these high-tech boards. That combines the thrill of riding a skateboard with the ease and maneuverability of driving an electric car.

Can you ride a Boosted Board in the rain or snow?

No, Boosted Boards are not waterproof.

Yes, Boosted Board can be ridden in the rain or snow IF they are correctly sealed.

Both yes and no. If you do ride your boosted board in wet conditions, make sure it is on a completely flat surface. So you don’t lose control of the board over bumps and cracks in the road.

Boosted boards are some of the safest modes of transportation out there! However, that doesn’t mean that they’re 100 percent foolproof (or weatherproof).

Driving on slippery surfaces like mud or snow puts riders at risk of losing control, and skidding off course. And potentially getting injured by debris pushed along by strong winds. Wet weather riding also poses an entirely different set of risks for board owners.

If you’ve ever gone for a swim with your clothes on, you can probably imagine. What would happen if water gets into the internal components of an electric skateboard. 

Water and electricity are not friends. And getting them mixed up could be disastrous for both passengers and Boosted Boards alike!

The short answer is no. While it’s possible to ride your boosted board in wet weather. You should avoid it at all costs (especially if you haven’t waterproofed your board yet).

Water seeping directly into the battery compartment or motor housing will cause electrical problems. Like loss of power or even damaged electronics caused by corrosion. 

Riding through standing water can also raise the risk of hydroplaning, where the rear wheels create a “vacuum” of water beneath them, causing you to lose steering control.


Are Boosted Boards waterproof?

Boosted Boards (at the time of publishing) are not waterproof. And should be sealed against rain, snow, and other wet weather conditions.

Both Boosted Board models come with a water-resistant carrying case to protect your board from dust and scratches. However, you should avoid riding in wet or snowy conditions.

Because these could damage the internal components of your electric skateboard if water seeps into crevices, cracks, and openings.

Are Boosted Boards Waterproof

There is no such thing as a “waterproof” Boosted Board because all electrical components are at risk for failure. When exposed to large quantities of water.

While it’s technically possible to ride through small puddles or light rainfall without causing irreversible damage to your board. But we don’t recommend it! 

Not only does riding through wet weather conditions put your safety at risk. But it also poses a threat to the internal components of your Boosted Board.

From water damage to corroded or faulty wiring, there are plenty of reasons. Why you should never ride your board in wet conditions.


Is the Boosted mini waterproof?

No, the Boosted Mini is not waterproof.

Neither the Boosted Board (Standard) nor Boosted Mini is considered waterproof by Boosted’s standards. Large quantities of water can cause permanent damage to internal components like wiring and electronic control boards, so riding in wet weather should be avoided at all costs!

Boosted Boards’ standard carrying case offers some protection against falling debris and minor bumps/scratches, but you should never risk riding through wet conditions with the proper safety gear.

Whether it’s a heavy downpour or a drizzle, there’s no getting around this one: You shouldn’t ride your Boosted Board in wet weather conditions without making some modifications.

While you can drive through puddles without causing significant damage to your Boosted Board, we always recommend taking the safest route possible.

Even if your board seems like it’s completely sealed and waterproof, remember that water can still seep inside through cracks and openings in the hardware. So don’t take any chances while riding on wet roads!

If you’ve recently purchased a Boosted Board and plan on using it during wet weather conditions, make sure the board is sealed with an appropriate waterproofing solution like Scotchgard.

Avoid riding through large puddles or standing water of more than 1 cm (0.39 in) deep to avoid accidentally hydroplaning.

Boosted Boards are designed to be resistant to dust, debris, and minor bumps with the included carrying case. However, using your board in wet weather conditions is never recommended without first waterproofing it.

Whether you’re riding through a drizzle or a heavy downpour, do yourself (and your board) a favor by avoiding wet roads altogether.

Remember that water can still seep inside your board through cracks and openings, so a thorough waterproofing job is required before riding in wet conditions.

No, the Boosted Board Stealth is not waterproof.

While it’s technically possible to ride through small puddles or lite rainfall without causing irreversible damage to your board, we don’t recommend it! Not only does riding through wet weather conditions put your safety at risk, but it also poses a threat to the internal components of your Boosted Board. 

From water damage to corroded or faulty wiring, there are plenty of reasons why you should never ride your board in wet conditions unless you’ve applied a waterproofing solution like Scotchgard.
